Now that you’ve found the home of your dreams, an all-important step is completing the Home Inspection. With the large investment of purchasing a home, completing a home inspection can help to insure you have made a wise choice and outline any areas of concern before you complete the purchase.
A Home Inspector is a third-party service which reviews the home on your behalf to determine the condition of the major systems, structure, and performance of the home. The Inspection encompasses a visual inspection of the accessible features and is intended to identify components that are deficient, unsafe or nearing the end of their life expectancy.
Following the Inspection, your licensed Inspector will provide you with a written or digital report outlining their findings and may include suggestions or recommendations for maintenance or repairs and whether these are needed immediately or at some point in the future.
It is always good practice to have a home inspection completed prior to the purchase of a home, regardless of the age or quality of the property. By completing your due diligence, it can potentially identify any issues before they become a costly fix. Recommendations of Licensed Inspectors can be made by your Real Estate Broker.
